Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Project Inspector to join our Transportation Construction, Engineering and Inspection group. You will work at project locations and gain real-world field experience while directly influencing project success.

Responsibilities include inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, and materials, plus reviewing contractor reports and QC procedures for conformance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 0 years experience; degree substitution considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials under direct supervision.
• Review daily contractor reports and verify quality control procedures align with approved plans.
• Assess contractor work for acceptance/rejection and measure material quantities.
• May perform sampling or in-place testing of soils, aggregates, concrete and asphalt.
