Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Tooling Engineer at the Rocket Center, West Virginia, on-site. You will coordinate tooling design and fabrication with customers, perform tolerance analyses, and drive process improvements to ensure manufacturability and quality.

You will work with the manufacturing team to meet cost objectives, support new program tooling concepts, and ensure project success from design to validation. This role requires a Secret clearance eligibility and on-site presence in WV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s STEM degree with 2 years of tooling fabrication or Master’s STEM with 0+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• Experience with tooling fabrication, composites, metals, coatings, and/or production manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with internal and external customers.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure form/fit/function.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and evaluate process improvements for tooling.
• Interface with review teams to ensure customer satisfaction with design.
