Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a Test Engineer to join the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) team in Dahlgren, VA.

You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop detailed test plans, and execute manual and automated testing across multiple levels, collaborating with developers and government customers to identify and resolve software defects. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software/systems testing, proficiency in test automation and Linux environments, strong

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
Comfortable reading C++ code and using Linux.
Proven ability to trace requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.
Strong teamwork and ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system-level).
Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
Interface directly with government customers daily; present testing documentation when needed.
