Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Test Engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop test plans linked to requirements, and execute both manual and automated tests across multiple levels, collaborating with developers and government customers to resolve defects.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software testing, experience with test automation, Linux environments, and strong requirements traceability. U.S.

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
Comfortably reviewing C++ code.
Experience using Linux systems.
Proven ability to analyze and document complex software issues and trace requirements to tests.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied directly to requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
Interface directly and professionally with government customers daily.
Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
