Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, write detailed plans and test cases aligned to requirements, and perform both manual and automated testing across multiple levels.

On-site presence is required. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/testing experience, strong Linux and C++ familiarity, and excellent communication for daily customer interaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code and using Linux systems.
• Proven ability to link requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.
• Strong teamwork and the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied directly to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface directly and professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
