Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is excited to host a 2027 summer intern cohort. Undergraduate students will be matched with a department to gain practical experience in IT operations, development, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.

The internship runs 12 weeks from May 24 to August 13, 2027, with interns working 40 hours per week and earning $23.00 per hour on-site in Minneapolis. Applications open November 1, 2026 and close January 3, 2027 at midnight.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a post-secondary degree; must be enrolled when applying.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn standard office software and new tools.

• Some positions require U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• IT equipment deployment, setup, and secure hardware wipes.
• Active Directory cleanup and access provisioning.
• Room AV upgrades and Cisco/Crestron equipment installation.
• Hardware lifecycle management: ordering, receiving, disposal, and CMDB updates.
• CI/CD pipeline support and Infrastructure-as-Code development for observability tools.
