Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Resident Camp Summer Village Leader for Camp Kern, Oh to supervise campers, lead daily activities, and ensure safety. This seasonal role requires living on site May–August with room and board provided.

The ideal candidate will be18+, with childcare experience and strong communication skills. You will mentor staff, coordinate village activities, and enforce camp rules with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience with childcare or camps is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead camp activities and supervise campers daily.
• Manage up to 2 villages and assist counselors.
• Enforce safety rules and maintain appropriate supervision ratios.
• Document incidents and communicate with parents and directors.
• Mentor staff and support cabin counselors as needed.
