Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a Resident Camp Counselor for Camp Kern in Ohio to support a traditional camp experience for children ages 9–11. The role requires living on site during the summer season, with weekly compensation of $275–$480 and room and board provided.

Responsibilities include assisting with lesson plans, leading activities, and ensuring camper safety. Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing weekly lesson plans that fit children's needs and development.

• Communicate verbally and in writing with parents and staff.
• Maintain attendance, transitions, and incident records for campers.
