Ledgent is seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our Boca Raton finance team. The role focuses on full-cycle accounting, including AP/AR workflows, journal entries, and month-end close processes, with collaboration across departments and exposure to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Relevant accounting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
• Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable workflows.
• Review, verify, and process invoices for accuracy and approval.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial reports and support financial statement preparation.
• Analyze financial data and provide reporting insights to management.
• Support the CFO and senior leadership with accounting and financial initiatives.
• Assist with external audits and provide audit support documentation.
• Partner closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure accurate financial controls and processes.
• Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and other ad hoc financial projects as needed.
