Becker Wright Consultants is seeking an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) for active construction sites, including federal design-build projects. You will lead field safety, develop and enforce health, safety, and environmental programs, and ensure OSHA regulatory compliance while partnering with project teams to create a proactive safety culture.

The role requires on-site full-time presence, strong knowledge of 29 CFR 1926, and the ability to manage JSPs/JSAs, conduct inspections,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction safety experience including SSHO on federal design-build projects
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926)
• Ability to develop and manage job safety plans and analyses (JSPs/JSAs)
• Proven ability to coach field crews and enforce safety programs

Responsabilités

• Lead SSHO on construction projects, including federal design-build contracts
• Develop and improve Field Safety Program, Safety Manual, APP, and JSP templates
• Ensure OSHA 1926 compliance and contract safety requirements
• Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions arise
• Write and review project-specific JSPs/JSAs for all scopes of work
• Coaching safety behavior and reflecting real field conditions in safety plans
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards with root-cause analysis
• Maintain safety logs, reports, and metrics for leadership review
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety meetings, and committee activities
• Represent the company during OSHA inspections and client audits
