Job summary

Science Applications International Corp. seeks a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support the Joint Fires Network (JFN).

You will ensure reliability, scalability and performance while driving automation and operational excellence in a mission-critical environment at Camp Smith, HI. The role emphasizes monitoring, trends analysis and data-driven decisions to improve system health and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Computer Science, Networking or IT including Systems Engineering, DevSecOps and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing governance processes for engineering environments.
• Experience building dashboards and monitoring for observability in real time and historical trends.
• Strong Linux/Unix and Windows admin skills in virtualized and cloud environments.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, configuration management and deployment automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum availability, stability and health of program resources across Operations, Experimentation, Development and Testing.
• Maintain availability from infrastructure to application layer from inception to incident resolution.
• Monitor health, analyze trends, and predict behavior to reduce downtime and latency.
• Lead incident troubleshooting, drive root-cause analysis and reduce MTTR.
• Develop and automate SOPs, CI/CD pipelines and testing tools to audit, verify and patch systems.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code to simplify provisioning, scaling and recovery for JFN environments.
• Communicate system status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify improvements in DevSecOps workflows and design solutions.
• Collaborate with helpdesk, network engineers and system integrators on best practices.
