Job summary

TheraPeds Partners in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide classroom instruction and case management for K–5 students.

The SPED teacher will develop IEPs, assess progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, delivering individualized instruction on-site at the district.

Requirements include Teaching Certification and Wisconsin SPED licensure, 1+ year school experience, and fingerprint clearance; guaranteed hours and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Teaching Certification and State SPED licensure required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education preferred.
• Current Wisconsin Cross-Categorical SPED certification #2801/#1801 required.
• 1+ year of school-based experience preferred.
• Fingerprint background clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Deliver instruction tailored to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning and support.
• Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress to inform ongoing instruction and planning.
• Create a welcoming, safe, and productive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and learning.
• Provide guidance and support to classroom staff in implementing educational strategies for students with special needs.
