Job summary

TheraPeds Partners seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a full-time, school-based role in Hot Springs, SD. The position includes IEP development, case management, evaluations, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

You will work on-site with a supported team from the school district and TheraPeds Partners. A valid SD SPED teaching credential and fingerprint clearance are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education required.
• State licensure/credentialing in Special Education required.
• Ability to obtain fingerprinting and background clearance for SD.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students.
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to individual needs.
• Manage caseload and coordinate services.
• Conduct assessments/evaluations as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and collect data toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain records.
• Support compliance with IDEA and district procedures.
