Job summary

The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL seeks a Supervisor of Patient Access for the Sleep Center. This on-site role leads the day-to-day front-end operations, oversees registration staff, and supports financial clearance workflows to optimize patient flow and revenue cycle performance.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of relevant experience, strong leadership and training skills, and proficient use of office software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required.
• Knowledge of performance management, training and team leadership.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance.
• Orient, train, evaluate, and monitor registration staff.
• Ensure staff follow policies and procedures.
• Plan, organize, and schedule to handle daily volumes.
• Explain consent, financial liability, and HIPAA to patients.
• Initiate performance management processes to address issues.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency of registration.
• Monitor KPIs like patient satisfaction, co-pay, and previous balances.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare team.
• Adhere to policies and safeguard University assets.
