Job summary

Kiwa PPI is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists to perform and witness inspections and testing in Ogden, Utah. This contract role involves 2-3 days per week (8-10 hours per day) for 6 months to 1 year, with emphasis on quality plans, industry standards, and customer specifications.

You will ensure calibration of equipment, certify technicians, and report inspection outcomes to the customer.

Qualifications

• Current CWI
• 5+ years shop inspection experience
• Understanding of third-party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly, etc.)
• Understanding of industry quality standards and codes (API, ASME, NACE, DS-1, etc.)
• Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and co-workers
• Basic PC skills and some proficiency with spreadsheets
• Decision-making ability, including day-to-day operations decisions

Responsibilities

• Witness inspections and testing per inspection test plans, quality plans, industry standards, supplier and customer requirements
• Verify inspection, measurement, and test equipment is calibrated/certified and meets job requirements
• Validate technician certifications are current for the scope of activity
• As Customer Representative, coordinate with Suppliers on scheduling, deliveries and project execution
• Generate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing activities
• Generate clear, concise reports documenting rejection and acceptance of activities under surveillance
• Meet HSSE objectives of customer and Supplier, and Kiwa PPI safety guidelines
• Communicate job progression and inspection results to coordinator and Customer
• Promote safe work practices and comply with Supplier safety practices
• Comply with PPI Quality Management System and its documented information
