Job summary

Kiwa PPI is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists. In this role, you will perform and witness inspections and testing activities to ensure compliance with industry codes, customer specifications, and Kiwa PPI procedures.

The location is Ogden, Utah, with a 2-3 days per week schedule for 6 months to 1 year. The ideal candidate holds a current CWI and has extensive shop inspection experience in third-party settings.

Qualifications

• Current CWI
• 5+ years shop inspection experience
• Thorough understanding of third-party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly)
• Understanding of industry quality standards and codes (API, ASME, NACE, DS-1)
• Adequate verbal and written communication skills
• Basic PC skills with spreadsheets
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet schedules
• Decision-making ability for day-to-day operations

Responsibilities

• Witness inspections and testing per plans, quality plans, standards, and requirements
• Verify calibration/certification of inspection and test equipment
• Validate technician certifications are current for the scope
• Represent the customer in discussions with suppliers regarding scheduling and delivery
• Generate reports documenting rejection and acceptance of inspections and testing
• Produce clear reports on activities under surveillance
• Support HSSE objectives and safety guidelines
• Communicate progress and results to coordinator and customer as required
• Promote safe work practices and PPE compliance
• Comply with Kiwa PPI QMS and documentation requirements
