Job summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists in Ogden, Utah. You will perform and witness inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry codes, customer specifications, and company procedures.

This independent contractor role is 2–3 days per week, 8–10 hour days, for 6 months to 1 year. Requirements include a current CWI, 5+ years shop inspection experience, knowledge of NDE/FAT/Assembly, and strong communication to interface with

Qualifications

Current CWI certification.
5+ years shop inspection experience.
Knowledge of third-party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly) and industry codes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with basic PC applications and spreadsheets.
Decision-making ability for day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

Witness inspections and testing per plans, standards, and customer requirements.
Verify calibration/certification of inspection equipment.
Validate technician certification status for scope of activity.
Act as Customer Representative with suppliers on scheduling and deliveries.
Generate reports documenting rejection or acceptance of inspections.
Communicate progress and results to coordinator and customer.
Promote safe work practices and comply with safety guidelines.
Adhere to PPI Quality Management System.
