Job summary

PPI Quality & Engineering is expanding its Quality Control team with experienced QC Specialists. You will perform and witness inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry codes, customer specifications, and company procedures.

Location: Ogden, Utah; 2-3 days per week for 6 months to 1 year. The role involves reporting, calibration verification, and interacting with suppliers and customers to ensure successful job execution.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• 5+ years of shop inspection experience.
• Thorough understanding of third-party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly).
• Knowledge of API, ASNT, ASME, NACE, DS-1 quality standards.
• Adequate verbal and written communication with customers and co-workers.
• Basic PC skills and spreadsheets proficiency.
• Strong decision-making abilities in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Witness inspections and testing per plans and standards.
• Verify calibration/certification of inspection equipment.
• Validate technicians' certifications are current.
• As Customer Representative, coordinate with Suppliers on scheduling and execution.
• Generate reports documenting rejection/acceptance of inspections.
• Communicate progress and results to coordinator and Customer.
• Promote HSSE and PPE compliance; follow safety guidelines.
• Comply with QMS and documented procedures.
