Job summary

Currie & Brown in South Bend, IN seeks an experienced MEP Senior Construction Manager to lead on-site management of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for a large-scale data center project. You will coordinate with project teams, clients, and vendors to deliver safe, high-quality execution on schedule.

The role requires 10+ years of construction management experience, data center or mission-critical exposure, and strong ability to read drawings, submittals, and contracts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction management experience.
• Experience overseeing MEP scopes on large/technical projects.
• Experience with data center or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting commissioning, system turnover, and construction closeout.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site construction management and oversight of MEP systems.
• Coordinate MEP activities across contractors, design teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and technical docs.
• Monitor installation progress and identify schedule, quality, constructability risks.
• Lead MEP coordination meetings, site walks, progress meetings, and contractor discussions.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure safety and adherence to project requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, life safety, and other systems.
• Support change management by identifying scope changes and impacts.
• Partner with project controls to monitor milestones and recovery plans.
• Support commissioning, IST, punch-list, system turnover, and closeout.
