Carvana is hiring for a boots-on-the-ground Safe & Secure team member in Flint, MI. The role protects associates, customers, and vehicles, patrols gates, conducts safety audits, and keeps the site open in all weather.

It offers an hourly, full-time position with hands-on responsibilities on the gate and lot. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in customer service, strong communication, and proven decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Communicate clearly, listen actively, and ensure no signals are missed.
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts with the SAS App.
• De-escalate situations and work with partners to resolve issues.
• Manage vehicle movement through the Inspection Center entrances and exits.
• Receive training in first aid, CPR, and AED and use them when needed.
• Maintain site operations during adverse weather and enforce safety protocols.
• Drive safety-focused culture by identifying hazards and conducting audits.
• Walk the lot to access restricted areas and perform routine checks.
