Job summary

SCIS seeks a Security Officer to observe and report activities at a client site, control access, and maintain safety of personnel and property. The role includes patrolling, monitoring entrances, and responding to incidents in accordance with site procedures.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, and preferred related security experience. Candidates must meet background checks and safety certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to acquire and maintain any other specific special clearances/access requirements.
• Must undergo background checks, reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey.
• CPR/AED certification and First Aid training required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Controls access to the client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Monitors entrances and exits; manages vehicle movement and parking.
• Patrols assigned site by foot or vehicle; checks for hazards and security violations.
• Prepares logs or reports as required and enters information in a computer.
• Responds to incidents following site procedures and notifies authorities when appropriate.
