Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Background and reference checks, controlled substance testing and behavioral survey required.

Responsibilities

• Controls access to the client site or facility through the admittance process; assist visitors with entry.
• Provides a courteous, respectful interaction and presents a good image of the client and its security department.
• Communicates openly and responsively with visitors; provides information as allowed about the site.
• Monitors entrances and exits; prevents unapproved entry; controls movement of people and vehicles; operates gates and CCTV.
• Patrols the site on foot or vehicle; checks for hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons.
• Protects evidence or scenes; sets up barriers and provides direction during incidents.
• Prepares logs or reports; documents information in a computer using standard grammar.
• Observes and reports incidents to client representatives and authorities as required.
• Responds to emergencies following site procedures and training; acts to remove products or materials that are client property.
• Carries out similar tasks as required for the assigned site.
