Comstock Companies in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Security Officer for ParkX Management to patrol, monitor access, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents, tenants and guests. You will perform hourly patrols, manage guest and vendor access, enforce policies, and report safety concerns to management while maintaining professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Must be a certified security officer in Virginia
• Minimum of at least 1 year experience in customer-service related field
• Valid driver’s license without major violations
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends, as needed
• Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build/maintain strong relationships
• Strong sense of urgency
• Strong problem-solving, time management and communication skills
• Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity
• Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property using the security system
• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors
• Ensure no property is being damaged
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around building
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Observation and reporting of safety
• Issue banning notices to rule violators
• Maintain file for Ban Notices and notify management when necessary
• Maintain the appearance of the two plaza kiosks
• Enforce the no dogs on the plaza policy
• Keep updated information and communicate to guests as needed
• Report unknown work to management
• Notify Park X and property management for illegal parking
• Communicate to guests about keeping fire access areas clear
• Close loading dock doors as needed
• Report concerns to management
