Job summary

Comstock, Reston-based management company, seeks a Security Officer to safeguard ParkX Management facilities and provide a positive guest experience. Located in Reston, VA, this role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and efficient operations for residents and tenants.

The Security Officer will perform hourly patrols, manage access for guests and vendors, enforce policies (including no dogs on plaza), and report safety concerns to management to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• DCJS Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year in a customer-service related field.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Willingness to work after hours and weekends.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property using the security system.
• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Ensure no property is being damaged.
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Observe and report safety issues.
• Issue banning notices to rule violators.
• Maintain Ban Notices file and notify management when necessary.
• Maintain appearance of plaza kiosks and enforce policies.
• Keep Kiss N Ride and contact information up to date for guests.
• Report any unauthorized activity to management.
• Assist the Marketing team around events at Reston and Reston Station.
• Manage valet at Reston Station and ensure plaza security.
• Follow plaza marketing plan for special events and keep traffic moving.
