Johnson Controls International plc. in Louisiana seeks an On-site Site Project Manager to oversee security projects, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule alignment while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

The role requires coordinating with the Major Projects team, daily site communications, and performing inspections to uphold quality and contractual standards. Travel may be extensive, and state certifications may be needed.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of related project management, construction supervision, or field leadership experience.
• Experience managing medium-complexity projects within the Security, low-voltage, life safety, or related construction environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Writer, Visio.
• Must hold or be able to obtain required State Certifications for Security Alarm Systems.
• Preferred: Associate Degree with 5–7 years of direct project coordination and supervisory experience in Commercial and/or Industrial Building Construction.
• Preferred: 8 years of direct field experience in the Security or fire alarm life safety industry.
• Preferred: Prior experience working on Major Projects or long-term site deployments.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Johnson Controls project controls, safety standards, and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Serves as on-site project manager for assigned Security projects, planning, executing, and completing projects in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Collaborates with the Major Projects team and assigned Project Manager to align project objectives with scope, budget, schedule, and resource plans.
• Coordinates daily communication with the Project Manager, customer, subcontractors, and other site contractors.
• Performs daily site inspections to ensure quality, safety compliance, project integrity, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensures execution of work aligns with Johnson Controls standards, policies, and contractual obligations.
• Submits regular progress updates and field reports for integration into the master project schedule, including variance analysis.
• Addresses site conflicts related to work sequencing, labor coordination, and unforeseen conditions.
• Supports risk management activities and assists the Project Manager in developing and implementing recovery plans when required.
• Ensures project documentation and controls comply with contract requirements and Johnson Controls policies.
• Communicates expectations clearly to subcontractors and ensures adequate staffing levels to maintain project schedules.
• May serve as the on-site safety program coordinator and/or QA/QC lead.
• Participates in project meetings, including scheduling, coordination, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Coordinates with Regional and Branch Leadership through the assigned Major Projects Project Manager to ensure adequate resources and support.
