Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks an Accountant to join the Financial Services Restricted Program Accounting team, supporting AR & AP for classified programs and coordinating with stakeholders.

The role requires active Secret level clearance and will be based on-site in Falls Church, VA or Redondo Beach, CA with no remote option. Primary level salary range is posted, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance (or enrolled in CEP) required.
• Experience with Balance Sheet, Billing, AR/AP, and Cash Reporting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and conditional formatting.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal customers on a daily basis.
• Plan and process check runs for sensitive vendor payments.
• Prepare, review, and submit classified customer billings.
• Reconcile outstanding payables and aged receivables.
• Monitor and report cash for classified government contracts.
• Prepare general journal entries and support audits.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
