Northrop Grumman in Falls Church, VA (or Redondo Beach, CA) is seeking an Accountant to join the Financial Services Restricted Program Accounting team, supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for classified programs, on site.

The role requires an active Secret clearance; candidates will interface with internal customers, process check runs, prepare billings, reconcile payables and receivables, and assist audits; primary level salary range is listed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) or enrolled in CEP.
• Experience in Balance Sheet review/audit, Billings, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Cash Reporting, and Contract Administration.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookup, conditional formatting) and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal customers daily to support financial processes.
• Plan and process check runs for sensitive vendor payments per PO and invoice terms.
• Prepare, review, and submit classified customer billings per contract terms and policies.
• Reconcile outstanding payables and aged receivables.
• Monitor cash for classified government contracts and support banking/treasury needs.
• Prepare and post general journal entries.
• Support internal and external audits and participate in special projects as needed.
