OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee and enforce safety on active construction projects. You will ensure OSHA compliance, lead safety meetings, investigate incidents, and maintain documentation while collaborating with site leadership and customers. Travel may be required depending on job locations.

The role requires strong knowledge of safety regulations and a track record in health and safety roles, with corresponding certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in occupational health and safety or 1 year of safety experience.
• OSHA 500, CSHO, CHST, STS-C or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stay current on OSHA regulations and apply on job sites.
• Identify and mitigate workplace health and safety hazards.
• Lead on-site safety meetings and enforce safety policies.
• Maintain safety documentation and records.
• Conduct safety audits/inspections and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with leadership to analyze trends and implement corrective actions.
• Provide safety expertise to employees, subcontractors, and clients.
• Pursue ongoing professional safety training and education.
