Job summary

Medcor is seeking a Safety Professional for a short-term regional assignment in Auburn, MA, supporting Western Massachusetts. The role emphasizes field-based safety oversight for underground utility installation and maintenance projects, partnering with crews and site leadership to enforce safety standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of safety experience, OSHA 30, strong communication skills, and are willing to travel between project locations.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant safety experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between project locations in Western Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, professional relationships with field personnel, management, contractors, and outside agencies.
• Conduct regular field and crew safety audits across multiple project locations.
• Identify unsafe work conditions and practices and work with crews and leadership to implement corrective actions.
• Recognize and reinforce safe work practices throughout the project.
• Document and communicate site audit findings and safety observations.
• Review training records for field personnel and ensure compliance.
• Assist with development and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans.
