Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, is seeking an experienced Safety Professional for a short-term regional assignment based out of Auburn, MA, covering Western Massachusetts. The role involves field-based work with crews performing underground utility installation and maintenance, identifying hazards and reinforcing safe practices.

You will work across multiple project locations, conduct audits, develop site safety plans, and participate in safety meetings.

Qualifications

Current CPR/First Aid certification.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant safety experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel between project locations throughout Western Massachusetts.
Basic computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet)

Responsibilities

Build positive, professional relationships with field personnel, management, contractors, and outside agencies.
Conduct regular field and crew safety audits across multiple project locations.
Identify unsafe work conditions and practices and implement corrective actions with crews and leadership.
Reinforce safe work practices throughout the project.
Document and communicate site audit findings and safety observations.
Review training records for field personnel.
Help implement safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Review client and owner safety requirements for compliance.
Travel between project locations as needed within Western Massachusetts region.
