Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, is seeking an experienced Safety Professional for a short-term regional assignment based out of Auburn, MA and supporting projects throughout Western Massachusetts. This hands-on, field-based role focuses on identifying hazards and reinforcing safe work practices on underground utility installation and maintenance crews.

You will conduct field audits, collaborate with site leadership, review training records, and help implement site-specific safety programs

Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant safety experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between project locations throughout the assigned region.
• Basic computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with field personnel and management.
• Conduct field safety audits across multiple project locations.
• Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions.
• Reinforce safe work practices on site.
• Document site audit findings and safety observations.
• Review training records for field personnel.
• Assist with developing and implementing Site-Specific Safety Plans.
• Participate in project meetings, toolbox talks, and safety-related reviews.
• Ensure compliance with client and site safety requirements.
• Travel between project locations as needed.
