Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, INC. seeks a Safety Specialist to drive on-site hazard mitigation and occupational health initiatives in the Austin, TX area.

You will collaborate with frontline employees and site supervision to identify, evaluate, and eliminate workplace risks while enforcing regulatory compliance and company safety standards. The role also mentors Safety Techs, directs all safety activities on assigned jobsites, and ensures proper training and documentation are maintained

Qualifications

• 3–5 years craft or safety-related site experience.
• OSHA 30/510/500 or willingness to obtain after 5 years of safety experience.
• NCCER CSSS or other approved certifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote company safety culture and values on job sites.
• Identify and mitigate on-site hazards and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Monitor safety performance and provide feedback to crews and supervision.
• Review and verify JHA accuracy and safety controls.
• Lead safety training programs and maintain records.
• Investigate accidents and develop corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety inspections and client audits as required.
• Mentor Safety Techs on projects.
