Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an on-site Utilization Management Nurse Team Lead in Sandy Springs, GA to oversee a team of UM RNs and ensure effective coordination across acute, chronic, and long-term care stages. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and administrators to optimize throughput, LOS, and reimbursement.

You will supervise daily UM staffing, provide real-time guidance, and ensure compliance with UM policies, DNV/MCG criteria, and Epic workflows.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active license in Georgia.
• BSN or higher preferred.
• Leadership experience in UM or case management.
• Experience with documentation standards and coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with UM team and multidisciplinary staff.
• Supervise on-site UM staff and manage scheduling and performance.
• Ensure adherence to Medicare/Medicaid and hospital policies.
• Contribute to training and onboarding of UM personnel.
