Precision Drilling Company, LP, in Houston, is seeking a Rig Electrician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on land-based drilling rigs. You will work closely with rig crews on a 2-week on/2-week off rotation, ensuring safe operations and reliable equipment performance.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience with drilling equipment, a high school diploma or trade certification, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling drilling equipment.
• High school diploma or relevant trade certification required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret equipment schematics.
• Technical proficiency with SAP (notifications, maintenance reporting) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Amphion Drilling Controls, SBCs, and generator controls (Ross Hill/Woodward); valid driver’s license required and must pass pre-employment requirements.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on drilling rigs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical components such as circuit breakers, panels, lighting systems, junction boxes, and control equipment.
• Test circuits, maintain spare parts inventory, and document inspections and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with rig crews, Electrical Foreman, and contractors to ensure safe operations and system reliability.
• Provide 24/7 support for equipment breakdowns as required.
