Job summary

Precision Drilling Corporation in Houston is seeking a Rig Up Hand to support rig-up activities for new build and upgraded drilling rigs. You will assist with equipment installation, site preparation, and startup readiness, ensuring safe, efficient mobilization.

You will lead small crews, conduct safety meetings, operate forklifts and related equipment, and uphold Precision's safety culture in a fast-paced, sometimes on-call environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in drilling rigs or related field.
• Experience operating forklifts, loaders, and man lifts with current safety training.
• Strong knowledge of drilling rig equipment and LOTO procedures.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Good communication and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Support rig-up projects by assisting with handling, movement, installation, and startup readiness of drilling rig equipment.
• Lead and mentor small crews, ensuring safety meetings and JSAs are conducted.
• Operate forklifts, loaders, man lifts, and other shop equipment to support project execution.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and promote safety culture through leadership.
• Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, including overtime and on-call rotations.
