Job summary
True Drilling LLC is seeking an Automation, Controls & Electrical Field Tech for a full-time, on-site role in Casper, WY. The position requires hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronics, automation, and control systems across drilling rigs.
Travel to various True Drilling sites is included. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with technical training or equivalent maintenance experience, plus knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and electrical schematics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with two years of technical training and/or five years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, Servos, Ethernet and communication systems in drilling rig automation.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings and electrical schematics.
Responsibilities
- Provide support during equipment installations and upgrades.
- Set up and maintain electronics, automation, and measurement equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
