Job summary

True Drilling LLC is seeking an Automation, Controls & Electrical Field Tech for full-time, on-site work in Casper, WY, with travel to rigs. Responsibilities include assisting with installations, maintaining electronics and automation equipment, and troubleshooting PLCs and electrical systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with technical training or experience in industrial maintenance, plus knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of specialized technical training and/or five years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent combo.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, Servos, Ethernet and related drilling rig automation.
• Ability to read P&ID drawings and electrical schematics for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide support during equipment installations and upgrades.
• Set up and maintain electronics, automation, and measurement equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, and electrical systems; diagnose and repair faults.
• Maintain safe work environment and comply with procedures; participate in safety trainings.
