Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Plano, TX, seeks an Associate Project Management Director to lead a small team of remote Project Managers and to directly manage retail construction projects and programs. The role is on-site five days a week in the Plano office and may require 10%-20% travel to project locations as needed.

You will refine PM standards, collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and general contractors, and supervise staff including hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of PM Director level experience in construction/real estate.
• Experience leading retail construction projects from initiation through closeout.
• Knowledge of procurement, contracts, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Refine PM standards, procedures, tools, and governance for portfolio consistency.
• Partner with client, architects, engineers, and constructors to deliver on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Provide supervision to employees including hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluations.
• Lead daily activities of remote Project Managers; set priorities and deadlines.
• Oversee all facets of construction PM including planning, design, procurement, and turnover.
• Ensure procurement, negotiation, and closeout align with client requirements.
• Maintain project controls and documentation governance with accurate data and reporting.
• Monitor budgets, billing, and staffing to track financial performance.
• Identify complex risks; develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Lead third-party resources and manage performance and deliverables.
• Model company values; communicate clearly to align stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and assess impacts across the client account.
