Wellspring Family Services is seeking a compassionate Resident Support Specialist to work on-site at an affordable housing community in White Center. You will provide on-site advocacy and resource navigation to residents, helping them achieve housing stability and access essential services.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, collaboration with property managers, and engagement with families and youth to foster a safe, inclusive community.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience in housing support, case management, community engagement, or a related field.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Experience supporting diverse and vulnerable populations, including those exiting homelessness.
• Knowledge of housing stability strategies, tenant advocacy, and landlord-tenant issues.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Cultural competency and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Aufgaben

• Provide on-site support, advocacy, and resource navigation for residents.
• Conduct needs assessments and create individualized action plans to help residents overcome barriers to housing stability.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for residents at risk of eviction, including connections to rental and utility assistance.
• Advocate for residents while building strong partnerships with property managers to find practical, mutually agreeable solutions.
• Connect residents to community resources, including healthcare, mental health services, employment, childcare, transportation, food assistance, and financial counseling.
• Build strong relationships with residents, property management, schools, nonprofits, and community partners.
• Support community events and develop programs for children and youth, including educational, recreational, and enrichment activities.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and track resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and connected residential community through a trauma-informed, equity-centered approach.
