Job summary

Honey Homes is hiring seasoned residential remodelers to execute larger multi-day projects in Chicago and nearby suburbs. You’ll apply carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills to deliver completed work, with a project lead defining the plan.

This full-time W-2 role emphasizes on-site execution, clear communication, and professional presentation. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on trades experience, self-sufficiency, and a clean safety record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on carpentry, electrical, and plumbing experience.
• A true multi-trade generalist; can handle electrical and plumbing without calling in a specialist.
• Self-sufficient on site and able to work through the scope without hand-holding.
• Valid driver's license and your own standard tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute scoped work on larger residential projects: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, and cleanup.
• Carry out carpentry tasks: dry rot repair, decks, fences, doors, trim, and finish work.
• Handle electrical tasks: fixtures, outlets, switches, ceiling fans, and small wiring.
• Perform plumbing: toilets, faucets, valves, minor pipe repair, and bathroom fixtures.
• Paint and drywall tasks for exterior and interior projects; patching and finishing.
• Stay aligned with the project lead's scope and flag off-plan issues on site.
• Be the face of Honey Homes on site with clear communication and professional conduct.
• Work primarily in Chicago and surrounding suburbs; adapt to nearby projects as needed.
