Job summary

District Moving Companies, Inc. in Waldorf, MD is seeking an on-site Project Manager to plan and oversee residential, commercial, and government relocation projects.

You will review orders, develop move plans, coordinate crews and equipment, and serve as the primary on-site contact for clients. You will conduct pre- and post-move inspections, manage change orders, ensure safety and quality, maintain records, and collaborate with the Warehouse Manager on storage and inventory.

Qualifications

• Review confirmed sales orders, proposals, and contracts to plan project execution.
• Develop move plans and timelines for residential, commercial, and government relocation projects.
• Coordinate crews, drivers, and equipment to ensure projects are properly staffed and resourced.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and any issues.
• Conduct pre-move walkthroughs and post-move inspections to confirm project scope and quality.
• Manage change orders and scope adjustments during active projects.
• Ensure moves are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with company standards.
• Resolve on-site issues and elevate when necessary.
• Maintain accurate project records, including inventories, timesheets, and completion reports.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager on storage, staging, and inventory needs for active projects.
• Experience managing moving, relocation, logistics, or construction projects preferred
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work on-site in Waldorf, Maryland, and travel to job sites as required
