Job summary

OrthoIllinois is seeking a Rehabilitation Registration and Scheduling Specialist to support the rehab department. You will schedule patient appointments, document information per physician protocols, handle phones, and maintain charts and records with care.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least a year of related experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google tools; EMR experience is a plus. On-site work in Rockford, IL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of similar experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Calendar/Mail.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments using location templates.
• Greets patients and completes registration at arrival.
• Verifies benefits information with patients.
• Monitors scheduling alerts for the location.
• Handles reschedules, cancellations and no-shows to recapture patients.
• Communicates changes with clinic staff efficiently.
• Processes referrals for clinicians.
• Answers phones and assists patients with questions.
