Job summary

New Eagle is seeking a Quality Manager in Ann Arbor, MI to own and improve the site QMS across engineering and production programs. You will lead audits, document control, nonconformance management, and supplier/customer quality support in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

The role partners with Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, and Operations to ensure requirements are defined, verified, and met, and prepares for registrar audits while maintaining on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination with four+ years of progressive quality experience.
• Three+ years of quality assurance experience in automotive, manufacturing, or engineering services.
• Proficiency with ISO 9001 and familiarity with IATF 16949 within a certified QMS.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and control plans.
• Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action to closure.
• Internal audit experience including planning, execution, reporting and follow-up.
• Strong written communication and document/control skills; proficient with MS Office and QMS/ERP/PLM systems.
• On-site work in Ann Arbor, MI with travel usually under 10%.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the site QMS, close conformity gaps, and progress IATF 16949 certification.
• Implement sector-specific quality requirements such as ASPICE, AQAP 2210, AS9115, and CMMC 2.0 where applicable.
• Maintain QMS documents: quality manual, procedures, records, and revision control.
• Plan and conduct internal audits against ISO 9001 and IATF 16949; drive timely CAR closures.
• Coordinate external audits and manage findings with objective evidence.
• Administer nonconformance processes including containment and disposition.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and 8D/5-Why/Ishikawa methods; verify long-term effectiveness.
• Support APQP/PPAP activities and process capability studies; maintain training records.
• Support supplier quality activities and customer quality interfaces; manage scorecards.
• Report quality performance metrics for management review and calibration programs.
