Job summary

New Eagle is seeking a Quality Manager to own and improve our site QMS in Ann Arbor, coordinating audits and driving compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. You will interface with Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, and Operations to ensure requirements are defined and met.

The role includes facilitating root cause analysis, CAPA, and supplier quality activities, with on-site work in Ann Arbor and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related discipline, or equivalent with 4+ years quality experience.
• 3+ years quality assurance experience in automotive, manufacturing, or engineering services.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and familiarity with IATF 16949.
• Practical experience with automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and control plans).
• Demonstrated ability to lead structured root cause analysis and corrective action through to verified closure.
• Internal audit experience, including audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to author clear procedures, work instructions, and audit reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel; experience with QMS, ERP, or PLM systems.
• Ability to work on-site in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with occasional travel (typically less than 10%) to customer and supplier locations.

Responsibilities

• Own the site QMS and ensure conformance across auditing and records control.
• Lead internal and external audits and manage corrective actions.
• Coordinate supplier quality activities and customer quality interfaces.
• Support APQP/PPAP activities and process capability studies.
• Develop and deliver QMS awareness and training.
• Support system safety work products per ISO 26262.
• Maintain calibration and measurement equipment program.
• Assist engineering change and configuration management to assess quality impacts.
• Report quality performance metrics and management review inputs.
• Plan and conduct internal process and product audits.
