Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Property Preservation Specialist I to review inspection reports, analyze property conditions, and coordinate repairs with approved vendors. The role entails on-site work under supervision and requires attention to detail and strong communication.

The position supports risk assessment for mortgage collateral, manages vendor performance, and helps control preservation expenses while ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 1–2 years Single-Family Default Real Estate Servicing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and reacts to inspection reports.
• Reviews returned inspection reports for accuracy and completeness when deviations occur.
• Updates files to keep Shellpoint and the investor informed of collateral condition.
• Assists in controlling expenses related to property preservation.
• Arranges contractual services for property inspections and evaluations.
• Assists in managing vendor relationships and performance.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Contributes to the Default Support department improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• These functions are on-site and may require partial on-site work where noted.
