Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is seeking a Community Manager to oversee operations, financial performance, and resident satisfaction at a on-site location. You will be the primary contact for residents, with 24/7 on-call availability, directing marketing, leasing, and the sale of homes while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will lead a team, manage budgets, and foster strong resident relations to maintain Sun's curb appeal and quality housing.

Responsibilities

• Markets models, pre-owned & brokered homes for sale; prepares documents to list and sell homes.
• Manages the rent collection process including posting and depositing income from leasing.
• Handles delinquencies and eviction proceedings following Sun's policies.
• Monitors and approves invoices for operating expenses and sales costs.
• Resolves complaints and responds to issues with timely solutions.
• Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures policy compliance.
• Manages LPPs, repairs, leasing, sales, refurbishments, re-leasing, closing, and service follow-up.
• Ensures compliance with fair housing laws and community operations.
• Reviews residency applications and handles lease renewals and rent increases.
• Consults with RVP on actions without established guidelines.
• Inspects and recommends purchase/renovation of used/repossessed homes.
• Prepares sites for Sun Homes models and coordinates with maintenance for move-ins.
• Handles onsite emergencies per standard procedures and safety policies.
