Job summary

CONAM Management Corporation is seeking a Business Manager (Assistant Community Manager) to support day-to-day on-site operations at Upcoming Property in Escondido, CA. This full-time role combines on-site accounting, leasing, and acting as person-in-charge when the Community Manager is away.

You will maintain resident files, manage leasing, assist with marketing, and ensure compliance and high occupancy. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in conventional / luxury property management.
• 2
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of day-to-day operations of a multi-family apartment community.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Yardi and MRI experience a plus.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations including accounts payable/receivable and rent processing.
• Support asset management with budgets, reports, and cost control.
• Oversee leasing from inquiries to move-ins for available apartments.
• Maintain resident files and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with marketing to fill vacancies and attract residents.
• Drive occupancy by conducting tours and processing applications.
• Handle resident relations and provide excellent service.
• Document leases and move-in/move-out records accurately.
• Collaborate with Community Manager to enforce policies and housing laws.
• Perform general office tasks and resident communications.
• Assist with resident events and community relations.
• Be prepared to act as person-in-charge when Community Manager is absent.
