Job summary

Peak Properties in Chicago seeks an Assistant Property Manager (On-Site) to assist with day-to-day operations of a residential portfolio. You will support tenant relations, rent collection, and building maintenance while coordinating with the Property Manager and regional team to meet ownership goals.

Responsibilities include processing applications and leases in Yardi/RentCafé, coordinating move-ins, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Leasing license or obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge and strong interest in real estate and property management.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships with customers, Peak employees, and vendors.
• Positive attitude, highly organized, detail oriented with sound judgement.
• Familiar with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Tenant relations: manage applications, generate leases, coordinate move-ins, communicate with residents and leasing team.
• Facilities management: inspect property, coordinate maintenance, follow up on issues with vendors.
• Owner relations: participate in status calls, maintain dialogue on vacancies and financial issues.
• Other duties: network with Peak team, ensure policy compliance, attend Peak meetings.
