Job summary

Peak Properties, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Property Manager (On-Site) in Chicago to support day-to-day operations of a residential property portfolio.

You will assist with tenant relations, rent collection, lease administration, and coordination with the Property Manager to meet ownership goals. Responsibilities include inspecting units, processing applications, coordinating move-ins, supervising newsletters, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Leasing license or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Strong knowledge of real estate and property management.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships with residents and vendors.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with sound judgement.
• Familiar with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Ability to manage a large volume of emails and phone calls.
• Strong interpersonal and business communication skills.
• Proficiency with Yardi and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenant relations and lease processing.
• Process new applications and communicate with residents and leasing team.
• Coordinate move-ins and ensure units are ready with keys and information.
• Enforce rental agreements and oversee evictions if necessary.
• Coordinate renewals, notices, and tenant changes in CRM.
• Assist with newsletters, notices, and owner communications.
• Support owner relations and participate in property status meetings.
• Work with vendors and maintenance staff and follow up on work orders.
