Peak Properties in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for the Hyde Park portfolio. The role supports the Property Manager and handles day-to-day operations across multiple residential buildings, focusing on tenant relations, rent collection, and ensuring properties are well maintained.

You will coordinate move-ins/outs, enforce lease terms, work with contractors, review financial reports, and help with annual upkeep projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, real estate, construction management or related field.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing property management preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Experience with property management software (Yardi) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tenant move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
• Enforce lease terms and resolve tenant complaints.
• Build relationships with tenants for repairs and capital projects.
• Assist in scheduling repairs and coordinating with contractors.
• Pull financial reports and assist with utility approvals.
• Protect compliance with company policies and regulations.
